JOURNAL #2:
I think a good theme for next year would be "Technology: A Growing Industry". The contest is based around technology and it is a growing part of society. Competitors could do three reasons why we need it. They could do three examples of technology in industry. Competitors could also do three pieces of technology that are constantly being updated.
JOURNAL #3:
I wish we had added more details to our layout because we were the only ones in our class to do that type of layout. We didn't explain why its so important that the layout molds to screen resolutions. I also wish we had added more background details. We didn't add very many coding concepts or specific details about the process. We should have added specifics about how we made the thumbnail, how we added the section on our FAQ page, and how we went about creating our Twitter widget.
JOURNAL #4:
I wish we had explained that the food does taste similar to regular food. We made a point to write about it in our content, but when we give our presentations, the audience won't be reading it so we should add it to our presentation. I also think it would have been more beneficial to explain that we did a lot of excess research, far beyond what we needed to have to make the food. We conducted an interview with my mom's nutritionist. We found facts and other statistics from notable websites.
JOURNAL #5:
I think the most helpful pieces of advice came from the questions from the surveys. Since I live with someone on the diet and I know others on the diet, everything is common knowledge to me. So the questions helped me to see what I need to explain more and clarify. We also needed to explain more of the interview questions since we spent so much time addressing the page. The feedback questions helped me to see what we didn't clarify or address at all, flagging ideas and commentary that needs to be presented.
JOURNAL #6:
I found this class challenging. I feel that way because I spent most of the trimester learning new things on my own, so when I hit an issue, I had to troubleshoot by myself. I think Lake Shore as a whole could expand the school to add more rooms and teachers. The class sizes could be smaller then. Smaller class sizes tend to be easier to teach so there could be excess time for more curriculum which could be more advanced. After years of having these classes, we could end up a year ahead of what we would be in today's curriculum.
