Once on the powerpoint uploaded to Slideshare, I think it may have prevented the video from playing. Just in case, here's the video file.

This week I did not go to the city because I was on a field trip. But on Monday, I created several "Lake Shore Cares" images for the school. The first one I made is about the road to success. I created a road background and blurred it slightly so that it wouldn't be too distracting. I also created a stop sign for the corner to draw people in. On the second image, I added the "LS" logo and a banner similar to the one Dr. DiPonio had liked. I used the gradient tool to create a unique look to the bottom banner and the blur tool to the top banner. This one could definitely be used as a generic template. In case either of those were not preferred because of the missing "LS" or the smaller "LS", I created a third graphic using just the "LS". On either side of the outside of the "LS", it says "Lake Shore" and then "Public Schools". On each horizontal part of the "S" is a short sentence that when all read together, relays a powerful message.
In January of 2016, the powerball jackpot reached an all-time high, approximately 1.6 billion dollars. If I had that kind of money, I would dedicate at least $150,000 towards new technology and software. This would not be spent all at once, but as an overall total for my lifetime. I would use some to ensure that I wouldn't have to work full-time, but not enough that I would want to quit my job altogether. I want to be able to help my dad pay the bills. I would donate about a third of the remaining money to Lake Shore. I want the school's technology program to be expanded and updated.
This trimester, I would like to gain more experience. My ultimate goal is to determine that industry is the approach I want to take in the web design field. However, I am not sure if this experience will be like working in the industry. It will definitely give me more experience that can be helpful in the future, no matter which approach I end up taking. At the very least, I am gaining experience working in an office environment. During the first two hours of my experience, I looked through the city's website. I focused on the Parks and Recreation section as that is going to be my primary focus. I looked to see what needed to be updated, what needed to be fixed(errors), and looked for things that I thought we should add. I noticed many 404 errors on "more information" links and also a few links that required passwords due to restricted access. The Daddy Daughter Dance is also a page I will have to see about removing or changing the dates. The rest of the time I was at my experience, I was taking pictures of the event they were doing. Every year they hold an ice show for 1,000 special needs students to come see. I walked around the arena taking pictures of the students enjoying the show and of the ice skaters performing. I'm not sure how I'm going to use the picture on the website yet, but I know I'm going to put them up.
